Mathletes National Finals

Best of luck to Ciaran Rice who will represent the school in the Mathletes National Finals in DCU this Saturday. Ciaran is one of 20 students from 6th class all over Ireland to qualify for the National finals from the provincial finals. The school has also been shortlisted to receive an award in the points per eligible students category. We will find out on Saturday whether we come 1st, 2nd or 3rd in Ireland.

Congratulations also to 15 students from our school who qualified for the Provincial finals and to Darragh Hennessy Cáit Healy and Oisín Cahill who all finished in the top 10 in Leinster on Khan Academy from January to April. Cáit and Oisín also received prizes for being Kilkenny champions.

Finally thanks to all the parents and children in the school for the huge effort they put in on Khan Academy from January this year. It is a huge achievement for them and our school to receive a national award for Maths. Well done all

Junior Entrepreneur Project

Sweet Tooth

In Clinstown N.S we are taking part in the Junior Entrepreneur Project. Sweet Tooth is a pop up bakery that you will see around your parish from the 24th of April for 3 weeks. You may see us at Fóróige, juvenile hurling training and in school for the next three Fridays. We would be very grateful and thankful if you could support us throughout this process, as it will help us learn about entrepreneurship and how business works for a bright future. Keep an eye out for us at hurling training on Saturday mornings, Junior and Senior Fórioge and at our school 13:30 -14:30 on Fridays.
